With the document no. 1410 of 22/06/2020, Almag renewed its I.E.A. to perform its industrial activity in compliance with the principles of Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC), established by the European Union since 1996.
Almag ensures the registration of all chemical substances, produced or imported in quantities greater than 1 ton/year, according to the REACH regulation no. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament. A consolidated procedure to improve the protection of human health and the environment.
Almag came together with other metallurgical companies to create an environmental research consortium. The RAMET Consortium seeks to reduce dust by 50% and organic micro-pollutants (dioxins) by 80%, as compared to the value imposed by law.
